Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • ⅔ cup Butter softened
  • ⅔ cup Vegetable Shortening
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 3½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 16 oz Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°
  • Mix Shortening and Butter slightly with an electric mixer on high speed
  • Beat in Sugars over medium speed
  • Add in eggs and vanilla and mix until combined
  • Stir the remaining ingredients into the butter mixture using a wooden spoon
  • Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet
  • Bake at 375 for 6-7 minutes. Centers should be slightly gooey still.
  • Remove from pan to wire rack and cool
